Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) – The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) was founded in 1904 and is a global professional accounting body. It offers the Chartered Certified Accountant qualification to its members.
Chartered Accountants Ireland – This is the largest and oldest professional accountancy body in Ireland. Formerly known as the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (ICAI), the organisation has more than 24,000 members worldwide, and was founded in 1888.
Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) – CIPFA is the professional body for accountants in public finance, and it has 14,000 members. It is the only professional accountancy body dealing exclusively with public finance, and its members work within bodies which require effective and efficient managing of public money.
Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) – Normally referred to as ICAEW, this professional membership organisation has more than 144,000 members worldwide. Its headquarters are in London, and it has offices all around the world.
Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) – The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) are one of the oldest accounting bodies in the world, having received its Royal Charter in 1854, and was formed from three separate bodies from across Scotland.
