Ernst and Young has been voted the number one accounting firm for the London insurance market .
The business scooped the top accounting firm title in the London Market Leaders poll after receiving 55 per cent of the votes from over 1,800 readers of Global Broker and Underwriting magazine.
Commenting on the award, the firm’s head of audit in financial services, Jon Bourne, said that the title was recognition of the "dedication and commitment" of the insurance team.
"This award is a tremendous acknowledgement of Ernst and Young's market leadership in the London insurance market, especially given that other competitor accountancy firms were the rivals in this category," he added.
The honour comes just a day after the firm’s audit partner, Alison Duncan, won the Outstanding Contribution category in the ‘Women in Banking and Finance Awards 2008’.
