UK accountancy firm Vantis has announced the completion of a deal to acquire the non-audit business of general practice firm Brewer Higgins, based in Buckinghamshire.
Vantis said an initial cash payment of £401,000 for the business has been made, but the final price is dependent on performance and growth and is expected to rise to £727,000.
Vantis directors expect the expansion deal to help drive an immediate increase in earnings from its non-audit business, in addition to more cross-selling opportunities.
Vantis chief executive Paul Jackson spoke of his delight in completing a deal which would allow Vantis to strengthen its position in the Thames Valley region.
"Brewer Higgins brings business opportunities and an experienced, motivated team to Vantis enabling us to further strengthen our client base and team," Jackson added.
Vantis was ranked 13th in last years edition of the top 50 UK accountancy firms by Accountancy Age, with 20 per cent growth on the previous year thanks to its fee income of £85.3 million.
