Deloitte Appoint New Financial Services Director

Deloitte has announced the appointment of a new financial services director who will be responsible for the firm’s internal audit services aimed at the insurance sector.

Kevin Patience has joined from insurance firm Aviva, where his last role was as the director of internal audit for Norwich Union Insurance .

Mr Patience explained that the current challenging economic slump is taking its toll on all financial companies and that his role will be to help the "recognised market leader in helping internal audit teams respond to these challenges".

"Having access to such a huge breadth and depth of skills across the firm also gives me tremendous confidence that we can really make a difference no matter how complex the challenge," he added.

Meanwhile, accountancy giant PricewaterhouseCoopers has revealed the appointment of Mike McCusker.

Previously head of tax at rival firm Grant Thornton, Mr McCusker has joined the ‘Big 4’ firm to help its renewed drive it into the UK’s small business market .
