KPMG has been named International Firm of the Year at the Scottish Accountancy Awards .
The financial services giant was chosen for the major industry award by a panel of important business and financial figures, along with readers of the Scottish Business Insider magazine .
Craig Anderson, head of KPMG in Scotland, spoke of his delight at the recognition, labelling the award a tribute to the "hard work, commitment and professionalism" of the firm's Scotland-based employees.
"Our people work together to make a tangible difference to the success of our clients' businesses and to make a positive impact in the communities in which we live," Mr Anderson added.
The award comes after KPMG was recently handed a platinum (top tier) recognition in the Community Corporate Responsibility Index, which analyses company's business practises across several areas including the environment, workplace and community.
