New Restructuring Partner Taken On Board At Ernst And Young

Ernst and Young have announced the hiring of former PricewaterhouseCoopers member David Hargrave to its restructuring business .

The firm said the new appointment will help continue to grow its European market presence, as companies continued to be pressured by increasingly difficult economic conditions.

Mr Hargrave has joined the team of restructuring professionals at the firm following a 21 year stint with rival accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers .

The new member will be given responsibility for advising lenders in syndicated or complex restructuring situations, amongst other duties.

Alan Bloom, global head of restructuring for Ernst and Young, outlined how the appointment signalled the firm's dedication to increasing its European presence.

"He brings with him a strong market network and restructuring experience spanning the past two decades," he said. "I have no doubt he will make a difference to our practice ."
