The lease to an exclusive tax haven has been put up for sale for £15 million.
Residents on the channel island of Herm enjoy the luxury of tax breaks . The island only has around 50 inhabitants but attracts thousands of visitors crossing over from the larger Channel Islands each year.
The £15 million for-sale price includes a 40 year lease on the island, a manor house, a 13th century chapel and over 80 acres of farmland.
The island, which relies heavily on its popularity as a tourist haven for income, has been run by Adrian and Pennie Heyworth for the past 28 years.
Speaking to the BBC, Ms Heyworth said it was a very hard and emotional decision to leave the island which she described as "an absolute gem".
"It has been a decision we have led up to. We now feel it is time to hand it over to a younger person who can enjoy the same fabulous life here," she said.
