A short course on new technology in business management has been launched by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
The new Business Flight Simulation Certificate has been recommended by CIMA as a fast-track method for staff and students to get to grips with business finance .
According to the accountancy institute, it uses flight simulation technology to help users appreciate financial cause and effect by creating a virtual company and learning from mistakes made.
CIMA chief executive, Charles Tilley commented: "The course is a great way for non-finance people to gain a better understanding of the finance function in their own organisations."
"Young people looking at starting careers in finance will find the Business Flight Simulator very useful in determining if they have the financial acumen to cut it in the world of finance and business ."
A new course has also been introduced by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
The new certificate in Finance, Accounting and Business is aimed at helping talented people without the necessary academic or vocational experience take the Associate Chartered Accountant examinations .
