Recruitment agency Hays has issued a warning over its accountancy and finance business .
According to a company statement, accountancy and finance operations have suffered recently due to the current economic climate, driven by the credit crunch.
The statement said the firms accountancy and finance business had taken advantage of "good market conditions" at the beginning of the period before "seeing a slowdown in market growth" later in the year.
According to reports, the UKs market-leading recruitment agency reported a 25 per cent rise in pre-tax profits for the year to June, with net fees rising to £768.8 million.
Overall group revenue reached £178 million, up from the £164 million reported at the same stage in 2007.
