Tenon Adds Medical Accountancy Firm To UK Network

Business adviser Tenon Group Plc has acquired specialist medical accountancy and tax advisory firm HWSEG, for an undisclosed sum.

Tenon, one of the UK’s top 10 accountancy firms, said the acquisition would take its network of specialist medical support professionals across the UK to 60.

It added that the deal will create one of the largest such specialists in the UK with the combined national business acting for 420 practices comprising over 2100 doctors.

Andy Raynor, Tenon chief executive, said: "Operating in the growing health care market, Tenon Medical Services is already one of the most prominent medical accountancy specialists in the UK. This acquisition will further enhance our leading market position.

"We will continue to implement further plans to grow in this attractive sector, which is largely sheltered from current economic pressures," he added.

Yorkshire-based HWSEG acts exclusively for medical sector clients, primarily offering year-end accountancy, benchmarking consultancy, personal taxation and annual superannuation certificate services.
