An annual 'Chartered Awards' ceremony is to be launched later this year by the Personal Finance Society to recognise professional achievement and increase awareness of chartered status in the UK.
Kicking off after the PFS' 2009 Annual Conference on 26th November, the Chartered Awards will be made up of six categories, including the Chartered Financial Planner of the Year category for both individuals and firms.
It is hoped that accountancy graduates entering the financial sector will find the awards helpful in deciding which stand-out companies to aim for.
PFS chief executive, Fay Goddard said: "The time is absolutely right for us to be recognising the contribution that our Chartered members are making to our drive for greater professionalism."
"This will not be just another awards ceremony, but a professional body recognising true excellence and commitment to the profession."
