Hallidays Accountants Scoop Top Accounting Firm Award

A Stockport accountancy practice is celebrating after being named the best accounting firm in the country by its peers.

Hallidays Accountants LLP was voted UK Accounting Firm of the Year by a panel of fellow accountants at the Added Value Solutions (AVN) awards ceremony in Nottingham.

Steve Pipe, chairman of AVN – an association of UK accountants - said: "Hallidays have responded to the recession by pro-actively helping their clients to not only protect their cash flow, but actually to grow, create jobs and become more successful despite the state of the economy."

"There is no doubt they fully deserve the recognition given to them by their peers. They are an inspiration to the rest of the profession."

Hallidays Managing Partner Nigel Bennett commented: "I am delighted and proud that Hallidays has won this prestigious award. It is a reflection of how much the firm has developed."

"However, in the current climate complacency is not an option and we will continue to push forward initiatives which focus the firm on our clients and team."

He added that he expects the company to grow organically and through further acquisitions by an estimated 25 per cent over the next two years.
