PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has added another gong to its collection of awards after being named the top employer for graduates in the UK.
The UK's largest private sector employer won The Times High Fliers Top Graduate Employer of the year award, which was voted for by students across the country, for the sixth year running.
PwC has recruited around 1,000 new employees so far this year and has expanded its internship programme to include international positions. The firm has also created a summer business academy.
Ian Powell, chairman and senior partner at the ‘Big Four’ accounting firm, commented: "To be voted by the students and graduates themselves as top employer for six years in a row is fantastic recognition of our continued investment in universities, students and graduates ."
PwC was also voted Top Finance Employer 2009, the first time the accolade has been given to an accountancy firm .
Earlier this year, the company was named the number one accountancy employer for the tenth year on the trot, and was also crowned Auditor of the Year at the Real Financial Director/CBI Financial Director's Excellence Awards.
