Price Comparison Site On Accounting Fees Launched

A new website comparing fees charged by UK accountants has been launched in a bid to reduce clients’ accountancy costs.

The price comparison site, accountantsquoteme.co.uk went live last week and has already been visited by web users over 15,000 times.

Founded by ex accountant Tom Bishop and website developer John Ayres, it allows businesses or high net worth individuals to log on and compare national accountant fees .

Commenting on the launch, Mr Bishop said: "We live in a world where people don't need to have an accountant in the same town or city in which they are working."

"Accountants can provide a nationwide service regardless of where they are based and what this website does is match clients up with those firms charging what they want to pay."

"It will also mean that London businesses no longer need to pay London accountants' rates."

While the new service could make accountants feel nervous about their fee charges, he added that the transparency could prove to be a breath of fresh air for the industry.
