A number of high flying British accountants have been named in this years Sunday Times Rich List.
The highest placed entry for an accountancy professional goes to Jasminder Singh, an accountant who works in the hotel industry with his family's Edwardian Group. Mr Singh is placed at 204th with a fortune of some £330 million.
The second wealthiest accountant according to The Sunday Times is Peter Harrison, a chartered accountant from Cheshire who is 327th on the list at £199m.
The newspaper reports that Mr Harrison made a £10 million profit on the sale of three retail parks last year, although all of the money will be used by his charity group the Peter Harrison Foundation, which helps disabled and disadvantaged children.
Andrew Pritchard, head of Iceland food stores, is the next accountant on the list of the wealthiest UK individuals with his £166m fortune giving him a 395th ranking.
New entries include Aref Karim, a chartered accountant whose Quality Capital Management business in Surrey has been a "huge success", according to the Rich List. He is placed 431st at £150m.
Another new entry is Simon Dolan, owner of SJD Accountancy, who is ranked 967th with £65m to his name.
