David Sproul Confirmed As New CEO Of Deloitte

Deloitte, the world’s largest accountancy firm, has named David Sproul as its new CEO and senior partner.

The company has confirmed that Sproul, who has more than 24 years experience in the industry, will succeed current chief John Connolly on 1 June 2011.

Sproul was appointed UK head of tax at the Big Four firm in 2006. He is a member of the UK board of directors and is also managing partner for tax in Deloitte’s Europe, Middle East and Africa regions.

Other previously held positions at the company include managing partner for consulting and advisory services and managing partner for talent.
