UK partners at Big Four accountancy firm KPMG will receive an average pay of £763,000 for 2010, the company has announced.
The figure represents a 10 per cent increase on last years pay packets for KPMG partners and is more than double the average £308,000 paid to Goldman Sachs London employees for 2009.
Senior partners at KPMG, including UK chairman John Griffith-Jones, will be paid much more than the average, while junior partners will get less.
In its annual results, the accounting and auditing giant reported that turnover from UK practices remained static at £1.6bn, while operating profits for the year to the end of September grew 13 per cent to £432m.
The firm's advisory practice was its strongest performer, growing consulting revenues by 13.7 per cent to £229m and compliance revenues by 10.8 per cent to £397m.
Revenues for Europe as a whole declined by 3 per cent to £3.6bn, while global turnover totalled £12.9bn.
