Take up of Sages new online tax software has proved successful since the launch of the product at the start of April, the company has revealed.
The accountancy software provider said more than 1,500 of its customers downloaded its new tax filing technology, iXBRL Tagging, in the first five days of its release.
Jayne Archbold, managing director of Sage's Accountants Division, said: "The reaction to our iXBRL-enabled Sage accounts software has been fantastic."
"Once people had a chance to see how easy the technology is to use and to have a go with it themselves any concerns they may have had quickly evaporated."
iXBRL ( in-line eXtensible Business Reporting Language ) is a new computer tagging language which was introduced by HM Revenue and Customs at the start of April in an attempt to make it easier to compare financial information. All corporation tax filing must now be done using iXBRL.
