The accountancy software group Sage has announced that sales are continuing to improve as more of its small and medium-sized business customers show signs of recovery.
The company returned to sales growth in the six months to September 2010 and maintained its improved performance during the final quarter of the year.
The improved trading helped increase overall revenues by 3 per cent in the second half of 2010, compared with a fall of 2 per cent in the first half.
Guy Berruyer, Sage CEO, said: "Our principal markets continued their gradual recovery in the quarter, and I am pleased that our results were in line with our expectations."
"Together with our strong business model and geographically diverse customer base ensures we are well positioned to capitalise on the many growth opportunities we have within the business."
Sage employs around 13,400 people and serves more than six million businesses in over 24 countries.
In the UK, the company provides business software and services to over 760,000 small and medium-sized firms.
