Accountants, lawyers and IT professionals have the messiest office desks in the UK out of other professions according to the findings of a new study.
The results are based on a survey, highlighting that accountants are amongst the least hygienic UK office staff.
Their dirty office desks are home to germs which could spread amongst other staff.
The survey was undertaken by office supplies company Viking across many hundreds of offices throughout the UK.
Germs were discovered on two-thirds of computer keyboards, with some even having mould growing below.
More than half of the office staff surveyed did not know that bacteria could be present on their keyboards, screens and phones.
Viking stated that an astounding two-thirds of office staff eat their lunch at their desks and do not clean their workstation.
