Accountancy firm Deloitte has recruited the services of Ian Sadler, the partner who founded rival firm Ernst and Young's global tax outsourcing business in the UK and Europe.
Deloitte said Sadler has been brought on board to help grow the companys tax management consulting group.
As well as being responsible for the Ernst and Youngs global tax outsourcing operation, he also led the design and implementation of tax compliance processing centres in the UK, India and Australia.
Alan MacPherson, head of the tax management consulting practice at Deloitte, said: "We are delighted to welcome Ian to Deloitte. Not only is he one of the leading compliance outsourcing experts in the UK, and indeed globally, Ian also has an outstanding reputation in his field and with clients."
While Sadler joins the Deloitte team, former director and international tax specialist Robert Bridson has left to join big four rival PwC as a partner in its financial services tax business.
Robert Mellor, PwC's UK financial services tax markets leader, welcomed Bridsons appointment and said his "operational tax expertise and great relationships with the US Treasury and Internal Revenue Service" will come in great use.
