Chartered Accountants Ireland is the largest and oldest professional accountancy body in Ireland. Formerly known as the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (ICAI), the organisation has more than 24,000 members worldwide, and was founded in 1888.
Membership for Chartered Accountants Ireland rose by almost 50 per cent from 2004 to 2014, which was the quickest growth experienced at any of the accountancy bodies in the UK and Ireland.
