KPMG has become the new auditor of Blackburn Rovers FC, replacing the Premier League clubs previous auditor PM+M .
The clubs new Indian owners, Venky's, decided to severe ties with historic Blackburn accountants PM+M after more than 100 years, and have now secured a deal for the auditing services of big four accountancy firm KPMG .
Richard Ainscough, partner at PM+M, said: "When a company is acquired, it is quite normal for the auditor of the acquiring company to be appointed."
"Naturally, we are sorry to see the account go, especially because they have been us for more than a century."
"The club has always been extremely professionally run and we have no doubt this will continue. We wish the club all the very best for the future."
The move is the latest change to the clubs business dealings to be made by Venkys since it completed its £23million takeover of Blackburn Rovers in November last year.
Two of Venky's representatives, Gandhi Babu and Mahesh Gupta, joined the clubs board in January, before long-standing chairman John Williams quit after 13 years at the helm of the Lancashire club.
