Recruitment levels in the accountancy sector are continuing to improve, according to new figures from the Ashdown Group.
The recruitment firm’s Jobs Index shows that the number of accounting and finance job vacancies in the UK grew by 5.95 per cent during February.
With employers continuing to search for accountancy professionals, the Jobs Index rose to its highest point since the Ashdown Group started tracking data in June 2009.
The February increase in recruitment continued the strong start to 2011 following an indifferent 2010, coming on the back of an impressive 13.52 per cent jump during December and January.
According to the Ashdown Group, demand for finance specialists mirrors any growth or decline in UK business trading volumes.
