An accountants firm has launched a new trainee scheme.
The Peterborough firm Rawlinsons has established the scheme in order to train the next wave of trainee accountants .
From September there will be three vacancies for post A-level students at the company’s offices.
The trainees will receive support throughout the period of time they are studying for their accountancy qualifications.
Should they be successful, after the three year period, the trainees receive their Association of Accounting Technician qualification, the equivalent to a degree.
After that they will start to work towards the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) qualification which will, eventually, take them to becoming fully-fledged accountants.
Rawlinsons’ trainee scheme is a well-established one; several of the company’s present partners began their careers as trainees and have worked their way up the ranks.
The trainee scheme presents a great opportunity for those who have no formal qualifications to become accountants.
